A tire shop on East 1st Street

We sell used and new tires out of a building in downtown Santa Ana, and we fit them, align the car afterwards, and sell wheels to go with them. That is the whole business.

Buying a used tire online usually means trusting a photograph and a word like good. We would rather you did not have to. Every tire that goes on this site is measured with a depth gauge, and the number we read off it is the number on the listing.

  • On the shelf right now 3333 tires, measured
  • We also Fit, align, and sell wheels

Before it reaches you

How a tire gets on the shelf

Four steps, and the third one is why some tires never make it.

  1. It comes in

Takeoffs and overstock, mostly. Tires that came off a car that changed size, or a set that never got fitted.

  2. It gets measured

A depth gauge on the tread, not a glance at it. That reading is what decides whether it is worth putting up at all.

  3. It gets inspected and leak-tested

Inside and out, then in water. Anything that does not pass does not reach the shelf, and it does not reach the site either.

  4. It goes up with its number on it

Photographed, listed with its own tread depth, its brand and its size. What you read is what we measured on that tire.

Come and look at it first if you want to. The tire in the photograph is in the building, and you are welcome to put your hands on it before you pay for it. That is the advantage of buying a used part from somewhere with an address.

What we do

Four things, done in one place

You can buy the tire, have it fitted and have the car aligned without moving it twice.

  • Used and new tires

From single takeoffs to full sets, in most common sizes. Every one with its measured tread depth on the listing.

  • Pre-owned, barely driven on

The top of the used range, 90 to 99 percent tread, separated out so you do not have to hunt for it.

    Browse pre-owned
  • Fitting and alignment

We fit what we sell, and we align the car afterwards so the new rubber is not ruined by a wheel that is out of spec.

    About alignment
  • Wheels

Rims by diameter, from 15 to 22 inch, for when the tire is not the only thing that needs replacing.

Questions people ask before they come in

Where are you?

302 E 1st St, Santa Ana, CA 92701, in downtown Santa Ana. Open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 6pm and Saturday 8:30am to 4pm.

Do you sell new tires as well as used?

Yes. Both are on the site, and the condition is stated on every listing so you always know which one you are looking at.

Can I see the tire before I buy it?

Yes, and we would encourage it. The tire in the photograph is the tire in the building. Come to the counter with the size or the listing and we will bring it out.

Do you fit the tires you sell?

Yes, at the shop. Fitting is charged separately, so call (714) 780-2425 with your car and we will tell you what it comes to.

Do you do wheel alignment?

Yes, four-wheel and front-end. Most cars are done in about an hour. Walk in, or call ahead and the rack will be free when you arrive.

How do I know how much tread is left on a used tire?

It is on the listing, in 32nds of an inch, measured with a depth gauge on that tire. It is not a category average and it is not an estimate.

Do you ship, or do I have to come in?

We ship. Shipping is charged and the cost depends on where it is going, so call (714) 780-2425 or email sales@globaltiregroup.com and we will price it for you.

Do you buy tires from the public?

No. Our stock comes from takeoffs and overstock through the trade, not from walk-in sellers.
